Paralegals’ interventions in the ‘cercle’ of Kita (villages of Mambiri and Kokofata) – March 2021

SlaFMig (Slavery and Forced Migration in Western Mali) is a research action programme that has brought together SOAS University of London, the LERDDL lab and the University of Legal and Political Sciences of Bamako (USJPU), the University of Copenhagen and the Malian NGOs Temedt and Donkosira.

 The paralegals have started their awareness raising tours in several villages.

Mambiri Meeting, 7 March 2021:

 

The meeting was attended by over 40 people.

Kokofata Meeting, 13 March 2021 :

The meeting gathered 11 people, on the themes of “Equality of Malians from birth in terms of rights and  duties”, “Freedom according to the Constitution” and  “The state of slavery in Fladougou since ancient times”.

     

Meeting in Sereboko, 21 March 2021, on the themes of “Equality of Malians since birth” and “The state of slavery in Fladougou since ancient times”.

The intervention of the paralegals was welcomed by the community and received in an atmosphere of conviviality.
